What to Expect During the Crown Process

Dental crown treatment is typically completed over two visits.

At the first appointment, the tooth is prepared by removing damaged areas and shaping it to support the crown. Impressions or digital scans are taken to create a restoration that fits your bite. A temporary crown is placed to protect the tooth while the final crown is being made.

At the second visit, the final crown is placed, adjusted for fit, and secured in position.

Caring for Your Dental Crown

A crown can function well long term with consistent care.

Brushing and flossing around the tooth helps maintain the surrounding gum and tooth structure. It is also important to be mindful of excessive pressure on the tooth, particularly after placement.

We will provide guidance on how to care for your crown and monitor it during regular checkups.
